He knows that's not all Seth's worried about.
He's heard rumors about Nicky's drug of choice. If Nicky dosed him, he'd be fine. Seth's six feet tall and by no means the slimmest on the team, and he's tried just about everything he could get his hands on since high school. He'd manage it. In fact, he'd probably make a good time of it. Enjoy the free high.

Summary
Seth's just finished vomiting his guts out at three in the afternoon when he finds out.
He's sat on the floor, bundled in a hoodie a couple sizes too big, phone sitting open on the bathmat. Time to ready for practice had come and gone, and still he hadn't bothered to dress- barely crawled out of bed to do this, now, only forced to by his roommate's scheduled absence. He'd felt his stomach drop as soon as Dan swung by to whisk Matt away, knowing undoubtedly- this could be his only chance.
In other news, he hasn't had his period in a month and a half.

Most of the walkers show up in their cars.
Neil- Abram, as it were- can see the lot filling in from where he rests, lain against a tree, after having walked to the starting line late in the night. He thought it a little pointless to drive in anyway. Who's paid, at the end of the day, to drive out all of the cars belonging to boys who didn't make it? Does someone call their mothers, or their fathers? Is the nearest dump just row after row of cars dusty enough to warrant writing Wash Me on the windshield despite the owners being deader than the engines?

Summary
He’s danced with Matt before, anyways. He doesn’t know why this feels so different, wrong in a way that goes right somewhere between his head and his gut. Maybe it’s that the stranger is so much older than him. Maybe it’s that he’s had the worst day of his fucking life, and he wants to feel better so, so badly.
“That’s it,” The man breathes, and the chill of it pricks at Seth’s spine. Panic claws into his chest, but the fire of a few shots and want make it insignificant in the long run. Seth can feel like shit again later. Now, he wants to chase whatever feels good.
And this feels good.

"You'd be so lucky." Nicky's tone drips with sarcasm, but his response settles under Seth's skin.
"I'd rather croak."
Nicky crosses his arms, "Wow, romantic. Do you sweet talk Allison like this, too?"
Or, Seth corners Nicky in the bathroom and questions his own sexuality.

Summary
“Kiss me.” Kevin says on day three in a feverish haze, the words slurring around his mouth. He shifts underneath the blankets and his face peaks through to look at Andrew. His boyfriend glares at him, or so Kevin thinks; his eyes are still bleary from waking up and he sniffs snot back up into his nose. The lack of attention has Kevin whining softly. He even kicks his feet a little where they’re trapped under the covers.
“You’re sick.” Andrew’s voice floats in the air, cruel and punishing. Andrew coughs and Kevin wonders if he’s contagious. He’ll feel bad if he ends up getting Andrew sick.
“Kiss me.”

"There's plenty of things wrong with you," Nicky jokes. It falls flat. He awkwardly laughs. "Sorry. I'm kidding. Kinda. But whatever's going on in your head, I'm sure it's not as bad as you're making it."
"Always the drama queen." Nicky taps his own cheekbone where Kevin can feel his tattoo burn.
"How do I know?" Kevin's jaw is clenched, afraid of the answer.
"Have you ever done anything with a guy?" Nicky asks like it's the easiest thing in the world. Kevin flinches at how easy he is to read. How easy it was for Nicky to know exactly what he was asking. Kevin shakes his head.
"Well," Nicky says. "I'm a guy."

Summary
Kevin remembers warning Jean off of men by using Jeremy’s story. He remembers killing his own attraction where it grew. He remembers staying awake at night, silently trying to carve the love out of him with Riko just a few feet away, asleep. He remembers using Thea in an attempt to fix himself.
All of that was for nothing, because now Kevin is sitting between Jean and Jeremy, who are together. Sitting in front of Jean, and struggling to breathe normally with his body so close, radiating heat like a neutron star, a hand always moving back to Kevin’s hip. All of it was for nothing, because Jeremy is right there, so competent and strong and fucking kind. He won’t stop checking to make sure the ropes are comfortable, glancing up to smile every few moments like Kevin is even worthy of it.

He makes the mistake of catching Adam’s eye. He seems to be close to getting it. “It’s- it’s supposed to be meditative,” Gansey relents. “It’s been said to have a calming effect on some people.”
“And you’re some people,” Adam concludes. Gansey doesn’t nod, but the way he smiles superficially is confirmation enough.
