    Peridot felt herself blushing harder. “Shut up, Lazuli.”
    Lapis smirked but stopped talking to her. Peridot continued to play Overwatch, trying to ignore the various looks her roommate gave her.

    "No," Anders said, a little too quickly. "You’ve been very open about your preferences. I wouldn't ask just to force you into saying no. What kind of hypocrite would I be…"
    She took in a slow breath. It was complicated, all this. She also had spent way too much time worrying about giving people the wrong impression. But now…
    "I haven't though," she said softly, only barely audible over the pressing noise from beyond the door. "You only know what my preferences aren't, not what they are.”
