“Would you be part of our band?”
The entire room was consumed by voices, but none of them seemed to move Tanjirou away from his request. He was still looking at Genya, as if his opinion was the only one worthy of listening to. And Genya thought it through. He thought about the feeling of serotonin playing the instruments of this very same room for the first time gave him, the feeling of finally belonging somewhere. The comfort, the happiness. Those emotions which he was so deprived of in the past, and Genya couldn’t help but get driven to them.
He also thought about how singing with other people playing in the back felt. How his voice matched the chords in the guitar and the rhythm mixed with the drums. He wanted to belong there, too, between the mix of sounds and feelings surrounding him.
And with that, the answer could only be one.

Yamato really liked his job, he just didn't expect to get right into it so young. He loved studying administration and he always did, and he admired his parents a lot for doing something he actually enjoyed, knowing that one day he would hederate the family's company.
But he heredated his family company at 20 years old, and not because of the reason he would've liked.
On the other side of the world, Gomaki couldn't stop swiping his tears with his sleeves leaving his face completely damaged and red. But he didn't care. His life was completely destroyed and only two words from his boss were enough. He has never desired dying so much as in that moment. To something up there to take him for once and all and end with all his suffering.
But, he would be transferred. He was going to Japan and he was going to work his ass off if that meant to be looked up. He will demonstrate that he's worth more than some words that can destroy someone's life.
He was going to become the best in that damn organization, and nobody would ever, never, break his heart again.

This was something he should have taken to the grave with him and, instead, he confessed it to his boyfriend in a moment of vulnerability. Tanjiro makes him trust him in the most sensitive times and makes him confess shit like this. And obviously, the good, so kind redhead couldn’t bring himself to fulfill what his boyfriend asked.

They've always been best friends, and no stupid crushes or little swings between them would change that. Or it would?
