Summary
On Christmas Eve in New Orleans, Louis begs Lestat not to leave for Paris. Lestat chooses ambition over love, promising distance won’t change anything—but it does.
Lestat’s career explodes overseas, then in New York. Fame demands he appear single, desirable, unattached. Photos, interviews, and carefully crafted images erase Louis from the narrative. What begins as sacrifice turns into neglect, then silence. They don’t break up in a fight—they simply stop reaching.
Years later, Lestat has everything: money, power, admiration, a life of excess. And yet something is missing. Beneath the success is the quiet ache of the man he loved and left behind—the life he might have had.
On Christmas Eve again, fate intervenes. Lestat is forced to confront an alternate version of himself—one where he stayed, where love mattered more than legacy, where Louis and a family replaced fame.

Summary
Molloy chuckles. “Alright, you got my number. But I do have one question.”
Ah, Louis should have known better. Too late to slip out now, all he can do is start his walk towards the exit as Molloy starts to follow. "What’s that?”
“I mean, the media’s all over this angle about how your husband and Lioncourt were like debate rivals or whatever at Georgetown Prep. Very cute, very fated to be enemies and all that.” He punctuates this point with what Louis thinks are supposed to be jazz hands. And then, he goes in for the kill. “But no one seems to have picked up on how you and Lioncourt were at Tulane at the same time. You guys know each other?”
Or: Polls suggest Armand, Governor of California, is a narrow favorite to become the 46th President of the United States. His husband, Louis de Pointe du Lac, is just trying to make it through the campaign season in one piece. This would be an easier task if his husband’s opponent was someone other than Louis’s ex.

Summary
Hedonist that he is, Lestat has never particularly cared to be held to the constraints of a schedule. Louis may enjoy the routine and predictability of something as prosaic as the requirements of managing a business–one of his many little idiosyncrasies that Lestat simultaneously enjoys and is frequently irritated by–but for him? Non. He can enjoy the artistry of a well-planned ball or the satisfaction of a business deal well-struck, but he’s always enjoyed the freedom of not quite knowing what’s coming next. In a long, long life, it’s far too easy to fall into a rut and find oneself constrained to it for decades before noticing.
Even with his taste for surprise, however, Louis holding out a tiny, sooty, sniffling child is a shock he is not best pleased by.
He flicks his eyes up from the big-eyed, dripping moppet, raising a brow and feeling his lip curl slightly in distaste. The child reeks of smoke and fear and God only knows what else.
“Put it back,” he says flatly.
(AU based on the idea of Louis finding Claudia at the age of five like in the book but raising her until she's old enough to be changed) (marked complete because each chapter can stand alone but will be updated)

Summary
It begins when Louis receives a handwritten letter nearly three years after their stormy reunion in New Orleans, coinciding with Lestat's highly anticipated second album release.
Or, Lestat is on a healing journey and Louis suddenly realizes he doesn't want him to be better at all- Louis wants to be worse with him.
And-
Maybe Louis will go and find some handsome Italian man, flaunt him in front of Lestat, and possibly even fuck him somewhere Lestat can hear. That'll get Lestat's blood boiling, and he'll definitely pursue Louis once again. Maybe Lestat will even kill the poor guy in a jealous rage, and then they'll end up together again, covered in blood and feral for each other in the best of ways. Isn't that how it's always destined to be?
