Summary
Sauron's infusion of his fëa into the One Ring takes part of his sanity with it. When he razes Ost-In-Edhil and raves in madness to Celebrimbor, the heartbroken Elf tries to believe, despite the absurdity of the possibility, that he is not thinking straight.
I could fix this, Celebrimbor thinks distantly in the back of his head, even as he laid bloody and gruesome on the table of his own forge.
He tries his best.
