Alex's mouth drops open seemingly involuntarily, and Henry wants to see if he'll bite. The silence is deafening. A pretty flush shocks Alex's cheeks though, he looks almost criminal.
"Well?"
Alex's brain, it appears, has yet to kick-start. His mouth is agape like a fish, his pupils blown out, stock-still but for the rapid rise and fall of his chest.
"I can- I. I can be quiet," he breathes, eyes hungrier than before.

Summary
Alex and Henry are low-level thugs from rival gangs in a Victorian-adjacent era AU.
They're still in love, there's just more pickpocketing, a very Henry-centric competency kink and absolute decimation of period-typical racism (we'd expect nothing less from Alex Claremont-Diaz).

“And besides,” he said as he stepped up even closer, bypassing Fox’s lips and whispering teasingly in his ear - even though they were in broad fucking daylight and likely to be killed just for the audacity, because that was what this boy brought out of him - “I suppose I could find it in myself to give you a few extra minutes, especially since it’ll take all the skill you can dredge up to beat...twenty-one pockets...”
And with that he drew back, watching the way that flush spread as far as Fox’s ears and his pupils blew out, breath caught in his chest at the sight. Then, against all odds, Fox was smirking again, looking right in his fucking element as he stepped the smallest bit backwards.
“Watch me,” was all he said.
And oh, Alex would.

“Sired?” Gwaine interrupted “This Emrys fellow is going around siring dragons? How exactly is that happening? Sex with other dragons?” He asked and despite the situation, Merlin flushed. The man in question blinked, looking equally baffled by the question. From the corner of his eye, Merlin could see Arthur pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Uh…I actually don’t know.”
“But you’re Emrys,” Merlin reminded the imposter with a sigh “You don’t remember siring any dragons?”
“I said it was an off day!” The man complained, trying to cross his arms despite being upside down. Merlin took a long breath. Lancelot had already walked away, but that did nothing to hide his howling laughter.
