Summary
Max tried to sit up, only to let out a sharp groan as pain shot through his body. Every muscle ached, every joint protested, and he cursed under his breath. It hurt. Fucking hurt.
"Hey, hey, careful." Charles sat down beside him, the mattress dipping under his weight. He leaned forward, eyes scanning over Max's face. "Oh my God, baby, are you okay?"
Max groaned, squeezing his eyes shut against the sharp ache that flared through his lower back. "Yeah, just—fuck—it hurts."
Max wakes up sore and Charles just wants to take care of him.
