    Mirkwood is fraught with war when its Queen falls pregnant; its citizens are too busy on the frontline to raise a child, and so the elfling grows up to become untamed. Unsuited for Mirkwood society, Legolas is sent on patrol to the edge of the Kingdom, isolated and fated to live out his years alone.

    A chance meeting with a ranger may change that fate.

    He doesn't hear the rustle in the branches until a familiar face appears in front of him. He startles, almost losing his footing. Legolas's upside down face smiles at him. His legs are hooked over a tree branch above them, dangling him in front of Aragorn. His hair flows down from his head like water, and his smile is bright as ever. Aragorn smiles back. "Hello, Prince of Mirkwood." Legolas frowns, jumping down onto the floor, crossing his arms as he replies, "I've told you not to call me that. It's just Legolas to you." Aragorn smiles. "I know, I know, I just like to tease you." Legolas sighs, walking ahead of him.

    -- Or: Aragorn comes to visit Mirkwood on an errand, and Legolas steals some time away with him (more emotions come by than expected)
