Summary
Military brat Dustin Henderson is a new transfer student to Hawkins High and finds himself immediately smitten with one of the most popular girls in school; Jane Hopper. But when he considers asking her out on a date, he quickly learns that her father, who also happens to be the Chief of Police, is super strict and has prohibited both Jane and his stepson, Will Byers, from ever dating anyone so long as they live under his roof—until of course, he suddenly changes his rules one day; He’ll finally allow Jane to date, but only after Will starts dating too. Sounds simple enough, however there’s one problem; Will was infamously known at school for having an abrasive and dour personality. Who’d ever want to date him?
or: A retelling of 10 Things I Hate About You (which is a retelling of William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew)
