Summary
Eddie huffs, sounding annoyed, but he doesn’t retract. “You know what your problem is, Buckley?”
Buck gives him an unimpressed look, then smiles coldly, “No. I don’t, actually,” he says, shrugging. “Why don’t you enlighten me, hm?”
“You’re spoiled,” Eddie snaps.
(Or, Buck gets into the LAFD Academy, and he’s sure the next few months are going to be great. Then, to his dismay, he meets his obnoxious asshole of a roommate, Eddie. Naturally, they fall in love.)

Summary
Being Eddie's best friend is one of Buck's favorite things to be.
Though, he'd be lying if he said he didn't want more.
Because, and again this cannot be stated enough, Buck is a greedy man.
He wants it all. He wants it all with Eddie if only the man would actually look at him.
—
Or: Eddie comes out, Buck handles it well enough. Sort of.

Summary
“I would like to go home, please,” Buck says to the ambulance ceiling. “Too many people have seen me in my underwear. Eddie?”
Eddie stands. “Yeah, bud. I’ll drive.”
“Oh, no,” Maddie says, and snatches Buck’s pants from him. “You’re staying with us tonight. Evan, you got stabbed in the leg.”
“Okay, I did not get stabbed, Mads. I got, uh—”
“Slashed,” Eddie offers, and Buck points.
“Yeah, slashed! And it wasn’t even deep. Right, Hen?”
Hen looks between the two of them, blinking open-mouthed like she’s watching a mating ritual on the Discovery Channel. “My God, they’re soulmates.”

Summary
Buck has always been the big spoon.
Every relationship, every lazy morning—he’s the one holding someone else.
Then a dumb social media video makes him realize something.
He’s never been the little spoon.
Ever.
What starts as a quiet crisis turns into a running joke at Station 118—Chim’s puns, Hen’s giant spoon, Ravi nearly falling over laughing.
Everyone thinks it’s about cuddling.
Only Eddie realizes it’s not.
Buck just wants to know what it feels like to be the one someone reaches for first.
