Summary
“Did you actually agree to be in Beomgyu-hyung’s stupid show?” Taehyun asked out of the blue, crossing his arms and cocking an unimpressed brow. His tone was unabashedly judgemental.
Yeonjun bit down on a grimace. He focused on his notebook to sell the nonchalant act, entirely aware that neither Taehyun nor Kai bought it.
“He sent me some of his ideas and they’re not so bad. And his friends are nice.”
A scoff. Taehyun didn’t let up:
“Are you even interested in any of them?”
Absolutely not. Their faces blurred in his mind, he still mixed up their names and he had no interest in dating anyone in the first place. One could argue it didn’t have to be love at first sight: feelings could grow, if only he was willing to let them.
But Yeonjun was too busy trying to bury existing feelings to make room for healthier ones to take root.
He settled for: “They’re not my type.”

OR: Yeonjun keeps making terrible decisions. Agreeing to participate in Beomgyu's pseudo-dating show is one of them, and starting a friends-with-benefits arrangement with Soobin is another.

There's a bruise on Yeonjun's hipbone.
He runs his thumb over it and then lowers his mouth to it, kisses the skin and then bites, hard enough that Yeonjun's hips rise from the bed with a soft hiss and a curse.
"Jealous?" He asks Soobin with a lilt to his voice.
"No," Soobin says, mouth trailing over his stomach. It's not a lie, but then again, Soobin is so used to lying to everyone every day about every little part of him that maybe he's learnt how to lie to himself, too. "Just possessive."

Something was off with Soobin.
That’s what Beomgyu had told Yeonjun earlier that afternoon, when they had met at the coffee shop for one of their usual group hangouts. The Omega had been quick to pull him aside under the pretence of ordering their drinks and desserts, clinging to his arm and announcing it like a doctor might deliver the news of a great illness.
“Off? How off?” Yeonjun had asked, eloquent, turning back to observe the Alpha.
Beomgyu had tugged on his shoulder to turn him around, hissing to not be so obvious, hyung. Yeonjun had never been subtle. He had never been particularly observant, either, but he trusted Beomgyu’s instincts and attentiveness. He was always the first to clock any uncharacteristic behaviour in their friends.
“I’m not sure yet. Just watch, you’ll see.”
