Summary
The Slowtown AU is a collection of out of order oneshots from a vaguely dystopian universe were teenagers gain powers and are locked away by the government, dubbed Advanced. The ones that escape create their own culture and factions as they try to live under the radar.

Summary
The untold stories get buried in a grave of secrecy and illness. Nevertheless, trauma and violence demand attention. Murder will out. Atrocities emerge, if not symbolically, if not through language, as illusions, fantasies and ghosts.
Bucky recognized he was fucked in the head. A broken skull and electricity often resulted in brain damage. He relearned how to walk and speak. He kept his name written on a piece of paper to carry around. He holed himself up in his room for days and yelled at anyone who crossed ways with him. Steve was convinced it was all part of the onerous path of recovery.
Until Bucky started going psychotic.

Summary
The Soldier stutters forward, placing its metal hand upon the bedsheets. "Permission to speak," it croaks.
"Granted." The handler holds its gaze.
"What...what is my mission?"
The handler considers for a moment, then: "Effective immediately, your mission is to obtain optimal levels of hydration, caloric intake, and sleep for at least seven continuous days. Understood?"
The Soldier nods. This is a test of its self-sufficiency. Its new owners want to know what it functions like at peak performance. Furthermore, the Soldier suspects that its owners want it to acclimate to these luxuries.
So they can take them all away again.

Summary
“I’ve heard your kind were hardly better than feral dogs,” the cultist seethes with something like a wry smile on his cracked and swollen lips, “but I have to admit, you’ve managed to surprise me.”
His eyes wander over the Torchbearer’s piecemeal armor, his tattered green tunic caked in mud so that the embroidered symbology is barely visible, his bloodied hands that never seem to wash clean these days. But the prisoner’s gaze seems to linger longest on the handle of the battleaxe that the Torchbearer carries on his back.
Still faintly smiling, he asks, “Have you also come to offer me absolution, or are you my vengeful executioner here to relieve me of my head?”
“You’re still breathing, aren’t you?”
