Summary
It sounds like a cat dying,” he said baldly. “My normal mechanic won’t call me back, so here I am. Fix it.”
“A dying cat? I’ve never heard car troubles described like that before.” Dunk said with a small laugh.
“It screeches. It’s awful,” Aerion said, pulling his soaked cashmere sweater over his head before holding it up and frowning at it. “Fix it.”

Summary
Prince Aerion Targaryen, like many before him, grows up believing that his mating run will set the court ablaze—after all, Targaryens omegas are the most desired in the realm, and history is full of violent rivalries and desperate alphas fighting for the chance to claim them. From tales of Princes Aenys and his brother Valarr to whispered scandals about his own parents, Aerion expects to be the center of overwhelming pursuit and obsession.
But when his own mating run arrives, reality proves far less glorious and far more complicated than the stories ever suggested.

Summary
Dunk says nothing.
The not-saying costs him. He can feel the words crowding up behind his teeth, the foolish desperate words, and what of this, what of me, what of the dead candle and the unbarred door, and he holds them, because he knows what they are worth, which is nothing, less than nothing, they are the kind of words that end a thing like this, and Dunk has discovered in himself a cowardice he did not know he owned, which is that he would rather have the fire on these terms than not have it at all.Bookmarked by obliterad

Summary
Aerion scratches at his eyebrow with a finger, glancing Dunk’s nakedness up and down half-attentively. “Don’t look so aghast, Ser Duncan.”
The first time he’s called him by his name. Something is different about him. A strange feeling rises in the hedge knight’s chest. “Wh—what are you doing here?”
“Spied you from the window,” he says, much too casually. “Thought I’d give you an audience. No need for all that.” Aerion waves a hand erratically in the direction of Dunk’s groin, smirking, breaking eye contact only for a moment. “I’d like to see it, in fact, it’s quite impressive.”
Decidedly done with princes, Dunk prepares to depart from Ashford Meadow—until he finds himself fascinated with the same prince he swore himself against.

Summary
Aerion Targaryen has never met an alpha with a scent that doesn't repulse him. Their harsh, irony scent fills him with disgust and ensures he keeps a far distance from them. That is, until he meets Sir Duncan the Tall. The lowborn knight's scent calls to him, creating a burning fire inside of him that he knows only this brutish knight can quench. Aerion hates it. He is the blood of the dragon, and he doesn't want to give in to his most basic nature. But when he discovers the hedge knight has been spending time around a certain omega puppeteer, he simply can't have that. The dragon does not share what is his.
