“Hey, down puppy.” She lightly hooked a finger under his chin and pulled his gaze back to her.
“But he-” But Caitlyn didn’t let him finish; she leaned down and kissed Vi. He let out a surprised noise, and his puffed up stance crumbled. Cait put her arms back in their rightful place wrapped around his shoulders and used this to drag him into her.
She pulled away laughing,
“Didn’t I just say ’down’.” She was chastising him, but her voice was soft. He hummed something noncommittal and started pressing up at her neck again.
“I don’t know, princess. You don’t sound like you want me anywhere other than right here.”

A series of parties, a new job, a new boss. Vi and Caitlyn meet and hook up at a party, but end up heading their separate ways by the end of the night. Only for Monday to come and Vi to start his new job at a law firm and find out his observing attorney is none other than the girl from Saturday night. Cue a lot of time spent near each other, working together, a few more parties and as much tension as I have the skill to cram into this thing.
