Summary
After the incident in the catacombs, Ominis can't bring himself to speak to Sebastian any longer. He cuts ties altogether and learns how to go about his routine while pretending Sebastian no longer exists. That works for a while, until seventh year.
Unfortunately, when Professor Shah pairs them up for an assignment, Ominis has no choice but to speak to him again.
Ominis doesn't trust him any longer but he can't deny that Sebastian seems different, almost like the version of himself that was Ominis's best friend before the dark arts took him away.
Gradually, Ominis begins to think their friendship - and maybe a deeper relationship - might not be beyond saving.

Erwin had intended to spent this year's Physics Day having a casual good time with his friends at his favorite theme park; he certainly hadn't intended to fall instantly in love with the most beautiful boy he's ever seen. It's really very unfortunate that that boy wants nothing to do with him.
