So when he has to leave for a week to help his family move out of his childhood home, he tries not to think about it too much. They’ve never been good at being apart... but it’s only seven days.
Until she suddenly stops answering the phone. The longer the silence stretches, the more certain he becomes that something is wrong. By the time Mike gets home, he’s already bracing for the worst.
