“Hm?” The boy's gaze softened as he laid his eyes upon the flowers below. His eyes wandered to the yellow daffodils, “Daffodils symbolize new beginnings,” He answered whilst tucking a strand of purple hair behind his ear, “…and lilacs mean new or first love.”
Nagi was infatuated with not only the beauty in his looks, but also his voice. It was lovely, sweet, and smooth, and an addicting sound that Nagi could listen to for hours.

Kunigami loved running along the beach at dawn.
Perhaps his favorite part was the feeling of newness that came with each sunrise, the sense of something magical glittering on the ocean’s surface.
And now, more and more frequently, was the occasional splash of something large always just out of the corner of his eye. Too big for a fish, he thought, but not big enough for a whale. Typical of beaches, there were always rumors of sharks or dolphins but Kunigami ran every morning and had never seen either one.
Then one day, he thought he finally caught a glimpse of a tail disappearing into the water.
Maybe it was a dolphin after all.
It wasn’t a dolphin.
Kunigami stared at the unconscious mermaid—er, merman, in his bathtub.

The house is just as dark as it is quiet. The kind of quiet that provokes a tingle of alarm, raising the hairs on the back of Daichi’s neck. As he guessed, the entryway is empty. Suga’s other boot has been left along the wall, but there’s no other sign of him. To the left, an apparently empty kitchen that transitions into a living room. He guesses the bedroom is the door at the end of the hall, and steps onto the antique-patterned runner.
A whisper soft click sounds behind Daichi and he whips around to see none other than Suga standing in front of the door, wearing a gleeful smile, a finger on the lock.
“Aw, did you think you were hunting me?” Suga’s grin only widens, eyes shining in the moonlight that spills through the window above the door. He smiles with all his teeth, revealing a sharp set of canines, the likes of which Daichi’s seldom seen before on mere mortals. Interrupting the stunned silence, Suga continues, “Tell you what, big guy. I’ll let you take as much as you like…but only if you catch me first.”
