Summary
Dave longs for a normal life where he gets to go outside and learn things about the real world. His semi-adopted parental figure, Henry, keeps Dave home at all times.
Dave continues to grow more and more discontent with his current life, which culminates into him growing attached to someone he finally meets at a library. [Which was a difficult task to begin with.] With a drive for an exciting life and a stronger bond with his new friend, Dave begins to rebel more and more against his caretaker.
