The very concept of artificial intelligence is messy, bringing up some of the worst of humanity. They weren't even considered proper citizens in most countries, tethered to the will of their owners like property. But they were also feared, in a sense, by people who believed giving a robot any type of higher intelligence was a form of playing God.

Summary
This entire time Gregory thought Freddy was refering to Vanny, when he mentioned an old Rabbit animatronic... but upon his fall down the trash shoot with Chica, the boy ends up finding Freddy's old companion.
Partly dissassembled, broken and disregarded: Bonnie is able to find power through one of the basement generators and guides Gregory through the trash maze: saving him from Vanny. Gregory takes Bonnie's remains with him and returns to Freddy: where they use the upgrade parts from Chica, Roxanne and Montgomery to restore their friend to his former glory.

Based off a dream I had a few nights ago, where Gregory finds a disregarded Bonnie in the trash zone and uses the upgrade parts on him, rather than Freddy and he ends up joining the party~ -

Monty froze in place, halting his movements. What the?
“Who the fuck said that?” He whirled around his room quickly but couldn’t find the intruder. Okay now he was really confused.
“Wow, aggressive much, mister?” the voice taunted, sounding more kiddish and annoying. It was the worst kind of voice.
“Well if you come out from wherever you are, i’ll so show you fuckin aggressive,” he threatened, his eyes still darting around the room. There weren’t many places to hide in his room but he wouldn’t be surprised if some kid managed to get in here. They have terrible security.
“I’d rather not get beaten by an overgrown lizard.”
