Summary
Freshly out of medical school Caitlyn transfers to stillwater prison, she learns that there is practically no healthcare for inmates when searching for a new job and wants to offer her services and knowledge to make a difference as she believes they deserve basic respect, even if they are convicted criminals.
She eventually treats one woman, who is often the cause for most of her patients, and cant help but notice how beautiful she is, even when shes bedridden with various injuries in her office over the past couple months. As Vi keeps making visits to her suite she can't help but wonder what she did to be confined in these walls. While she actively dismisses the feelings of deja vu when shes around the pink haired woman.
After all, Caitlyn slowly discovers that she has a good heart.
Even if it's hiding behind the act that Caitlyn is will break through, even if it kills her.

While serving time in Stillwater Prison, a lonely Vi decides to sign up for the penpal program. On the outside, Caitlyn has dropped out of law school to try and find herself, and ends up also signing up for the program on a whim. When they are paired up and begin writing letters, each of them finds exactly what they need.

Summary
Seven years ago, Vi had been arrested for a crime she didn’t commit. After she had been sentenced for life in Stillwater she gave up any kind of hope to ever see the people she loves again.
Not only has this place ripped her of her sanity, it has also ripped her from the person she once was, forcing her to live a life in hell.
Until the prison gets a new psychologist who happens to dig out secrets that have been buried ages ago and Vi’s life might not be as hopeless after all.

“What? I can’t ask you questions now?” Vi’s teasing her. It’s annoyingly disarming, and she would be lying if she said she wasn’t completely turned on by it.
She breathes deeply. “I don’t have any plans. I’ll probably order dinner. Watch a movie. Fall asleep early with a bunch of files on my lap."
“Come over.”
“Excuse me?”Or the one where it's basically love at first sight, and Vi handles it a little better than Caitlyn does.
