Miyano and Tashiro round the corner. Miyano freezes in place, feels time slow to a stop, feels the air around him become tighter and tighter until he can’t breathe. It feels like seconds become minutes, minutes become hours and hours become days. In reality, everything happens in just a few seconds. He drops what he was holding, turns around, and rushes towards the front door, his trembling hand covering his mouth in disbelief.
Tashiro looks at the scene before him, bewildered, before running after Miyano.’

He looked sad as he continued, “I think I know his story pretty well too. But the other Durin absorbed the remains of ‘Subject Two’ before he and I merged, meaning Subject Two is… he’s also a part of me.”
Or: With Albedo still in Nod-Krai and Wanderer all the way in Sumeru, Durin turns to Kaeya, a fellow child of sin, to seek some answers. Kaeya has questions of his own though, and the little dragon admits something he has yet to tell anyone else.

Kaeya, Frostwind Swordsman and Cavalry Captain, must keep an eye on his stay in case he pisses off any forgotten beings in Mondstadt.-
“Well, he’s being relocated.”From Snezhnaya? Kaeya had to pity whichever nation got stuck hosting him. It seemed he was especially good at stirring up chaos compared to other Harbringers. Though he always seemed to be linked with ancient gods. Kaeya wondered if it was just that he had a knack for pissing off the most powerful being in a nation.
“Yeah, he’s being sent here. To Mondstadt.”
“What?”
Yes, Lyudmila, exactly. What? Mikhail had best be playing a horrific joke, or Kaeya may present himself to a hilichurl camp and let them kill him. Or perhaps they would let him join their ranks until the Harbringer left. He could pass as an abnormally tall cryo mage.

When Kaeya dreams, he talks, and Ajax has no idea of what he's saying. It hurts to watch the love of his life cry for help, but not understand a word; and so, when he finally realizes what's making his speech so incomprehensible, he decides to learn a new language.
______________________“Teach me Khaenri’ahn,” he says, lopsided smile on his face. Albedo’s expression initially pulls into one of surprise, but he’s quick to even it out into one of curiosity.
"I still don’t quite understand. Why would you want to learn a dying language? Kaeya already speaks Teyvatian, after all.”
This is where Ajax would, as mentioned, rather not divulge too much information. What happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom, and he’s sure Albedo would like to keep it that way, too. “Secret,” he says, grinning with a single finger against his lips. “But it’s pretty important and only for an honest cause, I promise.”
