There’s a picture Tsumiki drew in fourth grade of her family stuck to the fridge with a magnet that Gojo found in a parking lot.
No mother, no Toji. Her and Megumi and Gojo. Drawn in crayon and everything. He’d hung it up then as a joke. Maybe to embarrass the girl when she’s older and realized that Gojo wasn’t much older than they are but now it just makes him sick to his stomach.
He couldn’t protect her.
He turns and dry heaves into the kitchen sink.

The way Gojo had it figured, with all the ridiculous responsibility thrown onto his shoulders as the world's 'strongest', he deserved to relax in whatever way he liked best.
If that way just so happened to be him abusing the fact that his former underclassmen was deathly afraid of upsetting him, and readily does whatever Gojo demands of him in order to escape his ire, well he shouldn't be faulted for that.

“My lord,” the servant leans down again with their voice practically purring as they refill a cup that’s only a quarter empty. It catches Luo Binghe’s attention, interrupting the beaming look he had been about to shoot towards Shen Qingqiu.

Moving away from the school should have restarted that nasty anxiety that lived in him like a second skeleton for much of his younger life. But he’s the strongest sorcerer. He’s Satoru Gojo, Six Eyes. He has died and been reborn better, greater, clutching the power of existence in his palms.
Satoru barks a hysterical sounding laugh. He rubs his hands up his face, leans back and laughs at the smoggy sky.
“My birthday cake, that I ordered this morning at five thirty, was poisoned. My kid who hates sweets took the first bite and nearly died because of it.” Satoru wipes moisture from his eyes. Let out one last breathy laugh. “Someone is going to die.”
