"I never really thought sparks were real." Wallace said quietly. Scott looked up, he had just gotten back home from Ramona's place and found Wallace sitting on the couch in the dark. This didn't happen often: Wallace wallowing. It happened once, a couple years ago, when Wallace's mom died and he'd gone on about how losing a parent was like when the show Becker was canceled. Something about BoJack being right. Scott hadn't really understood, because Wallace had never had a great relationship with his mom, but he was his friend, so he sat next to Wallace and had watched a dumb movie with him until he was back to normal.
So now, when Wallace looked up at him with scared, red, eyes...well, it made Scott scared. "Oh, well...they are." Scott said, awkwardly shedding his coat, and he noticed Wallace frown but the fear never left his eyes.
