Summary
“Shane, this is Anatoly Petrov and his husband—”
“Ilya Rozanov,” Shane blurts out before he can stop himself. Shane's shocked to see him now, a ghost plucked right out of his teenage years, his pre-MHL hockey days. He's even more shocked to see the modesty collar on Rozanov.
“Petrov,” the woman introducing them finishes weakly. “His husband, Ilya Petrov.”
__
Or: When Ilya is outed as an Omega, he's forcibly married off before he has the chance to break free and become an international hockey star. Years after the single game they played against one another, Shane and Ilya encounter each once again, and Shane helps Ilya escape the cage of his marriage.

Summary
Shane accidentally calls Ilya “daddy” in a casual, nonsexual way. Cool. Fine. Except for the fact that it lights this insane heat in Ilya’s chest and makes him ravenous. Which is…cool? …fine? Except for the fact that Shane catches on and becomes an absolute terror because what else does his boyfriend do when a wisp of competition hits the air? Ilya never should have pretended like this doesn’t drive him crazy, but he’s in it now. And he’s going to win.
Shane has other plans.

Summary
“You know that story in the Bible, where God makes Eve out of Adam’s rib?”
“Everyone knows that story, Ilya”, Shane points out dryly. “Even people who aren’t religious.”
“Mm. I was thinking. Maybe God made me from your rib”, Ilya murmurs, nosing at Shane’s shoulder while he trails a finger along the hollow space he’d found before, like that would somehow make it bigger – make it true. “I feel like I belong here. Inside you.”
