    In room 1410, Ilya Rozanov is ready to walk out the door after successfully getting his 19 year old hockey rival into bed. He knew how to make this moment happen and he knows what they have to be to each other now that it's over. But as he turns the doorknob to leave, he's stopped with questions he never expected. And giving Shane Hollander what he needs in that moment will change everything.

    I note which chapters are SFW vs NFSW, because many of you said knowing meant the difference between reading this on your lunch break or having to wait. (Thank you for wanting to read my work that much.)

    Covers the first two years of their rookie seasons (which is mostly skipped over in the show/books). Canon divergent from the first hookup seen in HR s01ep01. Most things are from the show but the timeline is a mix of both; Hunter and Marleau are aged up per the show instead of as young as they are in the books. (Also, Shane and Ilya don't wait *two years*, they stick to the book timeline. IYKYK.)

    Shane and Ilya invite Luca to the cottage.

    “Shane, come sit down.” Ilya called, not even looking behind him.

    Shane walked on jelly legs to the couch and sat. His palms were beginning to sweat. He looked up and two pairs of eyes were looking at him. Ilya looked equally elated and smug, and Luca was staring at Shane with slightly parted lips. Shane noticed Ilya’s hand on Luca’s thigh.

    “Luca, tell Shane what you just told me.”

    Shane looked between his husband and Luca, fascinated by the way Luca’s face turned pink.

    “Ilya asked me if I thought you were, um, pretty and I said yes.”

    “The thing is,” Ilya says, conversationally, as if he doesn't have fucking Shane Hollander grinding into his touch, as if he doesn't have a hand on his—Luca's sure of it—perfect fucking cock, “you have not been subtle, Haasy.”

    It takes Luca a moment to understand just what the hell Ilya's talking about, before he moans, low in his throat, humiliation sweeping across his body. It's not that he thought he had been actually subtle, but he hadn't expected this, of all places, to be where they confronted him. Not with Ilya's hand worming its way into Shane's pants, the soft blue of his briefs a flash color amongst the pale glow of his skin and the dark drape of his clothes.

    OR: The Cens have won the Stanley Cup. Luca's been voted Hollanov's MVP.
