"Getting tired against nightmares?"
"As good a strategy as any," she answers, cracking her neck before standing up. Her new jeans are stretchy, comfortable, and exactly her size. She wonders who bought them, and the jewel green jacket.
Booker stretches as she wanders around a little, waiting for the dream to fade. Suddenly he chuckles to himself, scratching the side of his nose.
"What's so funny?"
"It's, hm," he looks up, still smiling, and… stops. Clears his throat. Weird, she thinks. "It's a little inappropriate."
alternatively "something that could've happened in the cave."
EDIT: also alternatively "booker and nile fall into bed together in moments of stress."

Summary
Something’s got Booker’s instincts roiling to stop in this place. Got no rightful reason for it, but Booker’s a simple man. He’s gonna go with his gut, like he always does. Has it ever steered him wrong? That’s beside the point.

Summary
“Fuck you.” Nicky pushed him back and pulled out the knife, quick and clean, he didn’t actually want to hurt Booker. “We’re done for today.”
He turned on his heel, frowning a little when he heard Booker keep coughing, a wet sound to it, but he kept walking. Well, until he heard Booker laugh and he twisted around, ready to yell or reprimand or something else, he wasn’t quite sure. But any words he could have mustered died on his tongue when he realised what he was seeing.
“I’m not healing.” Booker laughed, swaying a bit on the spot, looking down at his front that was already soaked in blood.

Summary
It’s been fifteen years since he last saw the others when it happened. He was cooking for once and the knife slipped. He hissed and ran his finger under some water to rinse off the blood. Only, when he pulled his hand out from under the stream, he realised it was still bleeding. He stared at his finger in shock, not quite comprehending what it meant yet.
