"What? Yes, sorry, Im fine, I don't know why I did that, we can continue." he smiled, a bit unsure. Suddenly, all feelings from her came back.
"You don't look good, are you sure?" Regulus' voice was making him relaxed. It was troubled, sure, but hearing his voice was grounding.
"Im just.. Probably not in the mood, sorry. Im fine." His voice, the sudden tiredness in it has alarmed Regulus.

“It’s neither of those things,” James said firmly. “I don’t regret it. I’m not ashamed of liking it, either.”
“You should be,” Regulus whispered. “Don’t you understand? You need to find Christ, Potter. You’ll see it’s the only way out of the claws of sin. He can save you.”
James shook his head sadly. “I’m not sure he can, Regulus. If God wants me to give up what I value and everything that makes me happy, if He wants me to be cruel, then I’m not sure I want to be saved. I don’t think I could live like that. Your brother couldn’t either.”
Regulus’ eyes hardened. “My brother made a choice.”
“He did. And he’s so much happier now that he isn’t being systematically coerced into being something he’s not by people who’re supposed to love him,” James snapped bitterly.
“Oh, go to hell,” Regulus shoved him back quite hard.
James, stunned, stumbled back. “I wasn’t thinking, I–”
“Damn you, Potter,” was the last thing Regulus said before grabbing his shoulders and kissing him.

Summary
"Okay, so how do we fix it, Regulus?" Sirius looks at his brother uncertainly.
James Potter was a child, a little child, and he couldn't stay that way for long, it was Sunday afternoon and they had to find a solution, they had to.
Regulus said that James has been rejuvenated to the last moment he could he could be completely vulnerable, defenseless, open and safe...
That's impossible.
They have to fix it, this potion was wrong, they have to fix it, they have to fix him.
It wasn't possible.
James was happy.
He was.
He was.
He must be.

Regulus' potion makes James rejuvenate back to when he was 4 years old, the last moment he felt vulnerable. To come back to himself he needs to feel completely safe... his friends do everything to make that happen.
