Summary
“What is it this time?” Gaius asked, not even looking up from his work.
“Arthur,” Merlin huffed, slamming the door closed. Gaius glanced at it to make his disapproval clear.
“Go on.”
“He’s gotten it into his head to go after Morgana."

Summary
There was a song Mamma used to sing at night to Merlin, after she’d tucked him under the old blankets. Merlin never paid much attention to the words, but the tune felt like home. Even if he was hungry, or hurt, or scared, once he was wrapped in the wool that was pulled up to his neck, he knew Mamma would look after him. Everything was okay, because she would always be able to keep him safe.

“Always be you,” he said, once. Merlin hadn’t stopped smiling for the rest of the week.
“I love you,” Arthur whispered, now.
“Course you do,” Merlin nodded. “Same. Obviously.”

Summary
Arthur’s lips quirk up. “Well, I’ve got nothing else on today.”
Merlin jumps up. “To the lake then, Sugarplum!”
“I hate you.”

It's Christmas at the garden centre, and Merlin keeps being made to work with this spoiled prat.
a tale of tacky christmas jumpers, round tearoom tables, christmas trees, and families being the people you choose for yourself.

Summary
“What can I do for you, Sire?” Gaius asks.
“Is Merlin around?” Arthur says.
A pause. “No.”
“You sure?” Arthur raises an eyebrow.
“He is out gathering herbs.”
“Mind if I come in, then?” Arthur insists. He walks in, without waiting for a response. He is the King, after all.
Merlin is literally just sitting at the table. The idiot didn’t even try to hide. The druids really ought to find a better leader.
*******
Arthur doesn’t want to have to deal with the ways he is different from his father. Merlin is tired of secrets and pretending they don’t both know what is going on. And Arthur doesn’t know much about destiny, but he does know that Merlin isn’t evil, and Gwaine possibly is.
Anyway, the trees have seen it all.Series

Our saltwater solution reduces gravity’s pull by over 80%, ensuring you'll effortlessly stay afloat! We keep the water at a steady 36 degrees—matching your skin’s temperature. This blend of weightlessness and warmth blurs the lines between your body and the water, as your nerves can’t tell where you end and the surrounding environment begins.
Weightlessness. Yeah. If anything’s gonna be Ed’s cure-all, it’s gotta be weightlessness, right?
Ed’s carried around weight for most of his life. He’s tired. His muscles ache. His joints are all ground down to dust.
Also - the word solution is right there. Which proves it.
This is it. This is Ed’s solution.
(Or: Ed's on a wellness journey for his fuckass brain. It's not going great. The guy at the float tank place is being way too nice about it. Please mind the tags!)

Summary
“What d’you mean?”
He does not get an immediate response. Stede, being a bit one-track minded, is still squinting in confusion and distress at the vessel. Edward cannot fathom anything that would be mind boggling and upsetting all in equal measure, until Stede confirmed what he is seeing with an exhaled name.
“...Mary?”
What. No, genuinely. What? Mary… the wife? Mary, of the Bonnet variety? Mary, the woman who Edward distinctly remembers Stede mentioning as part of the reason he left him behind? That Mary?
After tenuously making up and healing their relationship, Ed and Stede spot a vessel in need on the horizon.
Stede never had expected to watch the love of his life and his former wife meet.

Summary
Stede really does try with Calico Jack. Mary's always said that they should attempt to cultivate good relationships with each other's friends...not that she was ever particularly burdened with the task on her end. And not that he and Ed are together--

Summary
The crew's up to something. Ed may not know what yet, but he can smell a plot brewing a mile off. It's not the festival air that's taken over the ship that's got him confused, nor even all the hastily-stifled grins. He's sailed under his share of captains over whose graves he'd have drunk a celebratory bottle of rum, while singing, and then had a nice, long piss to wash the dust off the headstone. No, what's keeping him from cornering the nearest man against a wall with a knife to their throat is all the damn giggling.
He's weathered, joined, and instigated plenty of mutinies in his time, but giggling...that's a new one.
