Summary
Wei Wuxian remembers, a long time ago in basically another life, a college party where he managed to bully Lan Wangji into taking a single shot. The Second Jade had gone bleary and fallen asleep on a couch almost immediately. Wei Wuxian figured that in the intervening years his tolerance would have improved, or that a drunk Lan Zhan would immediately be followed by a sleeping Lan Zhan.
This supposition was, as it turns out, incorrect. Grown-ass adult Lan Zhan is, when drunk, something Wei Wuxian can only describe as white girl wasted.
Or: Lan Zhan gets drunk on Capitol Hill. Wei Wuxian isn't supposed to be the responsible one, but by god, he's gonna do it.

Taking his cue, Lan Zhan backs off completely, removing both hands and mouth from Wei Ying's body, which isn't exactly what he wants. Lan Zhan's face is neutral, and he waits for Wei Ying to explain himself.
"I wanna keep going," Wei Ying says, wanting to make that part crystal clear. "But I just… I kind of came here under the assumption that I would be topping."
Lan Zhan blinks very, very slowly. "I am a top."
"Well," Wei Ying says carefully. "So am I."
"You are not."
Wei Ying lets out a cry of indignation. "Am too!"
Lan Zhan gives a minute shake of his head. "You do not know it yet, but you are not a top."
"And how the fuck would you know my preference?!" Now, Wei Ying is getting genuinely angry. "I've never had gay sex with anyone, let alone you, so how can you—"
"Wei Ying."
"What?!"
Lan Zhan is giving Wei Ying the same look that an adult gives a child who thinks they can go swimming when it's freezing outside. "Let me try. If you do not like it, we will stop, and I will be the bottom."
Never bring a bottom to a top fight.

Wei Ying wants to be a brat and tease Lan Zhan, but he’s too strung out. The multiple rounds have him feeling raw and used, too tired to do anything else but take what is given to him. The gag in his mouth is not only effectively shutting him up, preventing him from begging his husband to fuck him one last time, but also prevents his fangs from fully descending. They’re steadily leaking, coating the gag in a fine layer of potent venom. He’s so lost in his pleasure he can’t control the flow. He hasn’t fed all day and he knows his iris’ must be tinged crimson at this point. It doesn’t matter, he always comes the hardest when his fangs are finally sunk into Lan Zhan’s neck.
