“Ilya, what are we gonna do?” Shane says.
Ilya finishes whatever he has been doing on his phone, and tosses it gently to the bed beside him. He crosses the room to Shane, stands in front of him, squeezes into his shoulders with his big hands, rubbing them like he means to warm them up.
“Looks like we will have a little vacation,” he says, with a big obnoxious grin.
Boston and Montreal are sent to Paris to play against each other in an exhibition series in January 2017. Ilya and Shane decide to stay in Paris for one more night. Just one more night, so they can talk. Maybe finally understand each other.
They aren't expecting a volcano to erupt in Iceland and close all the airspace in Europe, leaving them stranded there. Together.

Refusing to let Ilya ruin his career by signing with Ottawa, Shane chooses to really give their relationship a try and moves to Boston to live with Ilya and become a Raider. What follows is enough public scrutiny and backlash from his team that it has him questioning if he made the right decision. Until moments with Ilya and the Raiders show him exactly why he chose correctly.

Hayden’s eyes flickered to Shane as he sat on the bench, chewing on the edge of his mouth guard.
“Don’t fucking look at him,” Ilya insisted as he bent down for the faceoff.
“Excuse me?” Hayden mumbled, eyes darting back to him.
“You heard me,” he retorted, his tone clipped. “He’s not your teammate anymore; he’s mine. If you think Marlow is a problem to your game, wait until you see what I will do to your team if you hurt anyone on mine again.”
Hayden scoffed, dipping his head as he tried to focus on the game. Something about Ilya’s words still rang through his head though, sounding so definitive that he didn’t want to risk seeing what he was actually referring to when he said that.
The puck dropped again, and Ilya stole it before he could comprehend how quickly it happened.

Summary
At age fourteen, Katsuki Yuuri had been determined to be Japan's next great figure skating hope, but with no coach that would never happen, so his ballet instructor packs him up off to Russia to train with Yakov Feltsman. The Yakov Feltsman, otherwise known as the coach to rising figure skating star -- and Yuuri's idol -- Viktor Nikiforov.
From the rinks of Yubileyny Sports Palace in St Petersburg to the bustling city of Osaka and quieter Michigan suburbs, Yuuri chases his dream of skating against his idol and improbable best friend, getting tripped up along the way because growing up is never easy and it's even harder as an elite athlete with the eyes of a nation watching. But it'll all be fine as long as Yuuri doesn't do something stupid like fall in love with Viktor. Right? Right.
(It occurred to me that I should say that the title is not a typo. It's purposely "bear" as in "to carry".)

Summary
AU in which a series of emergencies disrupts the competitive skating season, throwing Victor and Yuuri together. Yuuri has idolized and pined for Victor for years, but Victor's just discovering all the things that make Yuuri wonderful, and adoring every of them. Yakov is at his wits end with his skaters. Yuri Plisetsky could not be more irritated.
“You're not a morning person, Yuuri?” Victor sounded amused, and Yuuri turned…to find his face only inches away. He almost passed out. He almost combusted.
“Uhhhh. Not really."
“What is your perfect morning?” Victor asked, not moving away, so Yuuri put his back against the cold of the window. Because otherwise he might have done something so ridiculous there wasn’t a name for it. (Kiss, kiss was the name of it)
“A late one,” Yuuri said. “Waking late, without an alarm. Coffee and breakfast while my roommate catches me up on All the Gossip. Maybe second breakfast. Then finding a quiet patch of ice.”
“Second breakfast? Like a hobbit?” Victor laughed and Yuuri laughed as well, confused. His idol was a nerd? The most beautiful man in the world thought he was funny?
