Robert hasn't slept. He doesn't know how long it's been and he doesn't really care, not when Chase is laid up in a hospital bed, barely breathing, with a heart that 's had to be restarted three times since Robert careened into the hospital bay in his old wheezing beater and begged the nurses for help.

For the nth time that week, Robert found himself being manhandled. Flambae’s hand was rough on his chin, lacking all the gentleness Blazer had last shown. He looked him over, the conflict behind his eyes raging like a storm, before letting out a huff, rolling his eyes. He’d reached his conclusion.
“Ah, fuck it. You'll do.”
There was no room for arguing before he smashed their mouths into a searing kiss.
