Summary
“I’m sorry that I am the way I am, Jaehyun,” Doyoung confesses, his voice serious and solemn. There are many layers to everything that comes out of Doyoung’s pretty lips, and even this concise statement is no exception. Jaehyun may be austere with his own words, but he’s good at identifying the true meaning that hides behind the ornaments that flood Doyoung’s speech. This time, he has chosen simplicity over complexity, partly because he wants to be honest, but mostly to avoid giving more information than he’s comfortable with.
“I love the way you are,” Jaehyun professes, blushing immediately after, mortified at his own bluntness. Doyoung smiles fondly and his grip on Jaehyun’s hand tightens.

Summary
“I’m interested in you.” The words make Doyoung’s eyes widen and he can’t help the surprised look on his face. It makes his head skip a beat and he’s sure that it’s not what Jaehyun actually means. The other nods slowly, fingers pushing his hair back slowly, eyes never breaking contact with Doyoung’s. “I just-” Jaehyun sighs, hands pushing into his own pockets, head tilting back enough for his eyes to look up at the ceiling. “You’re such a unique skater. You have this energy,” Jaehyun sucks in a breath, letting it out with more words, “So cold but the way you skate is really beautiful. I wanted to get to know you.”
“You didn’t have to fly to Korea and show up at my apartment at four in the morning to get to know me.” It comes out as a low mumble and Doyoung is positive that Jaehyun didn’t hear any of what he just said.
But like this whole thing, Jaehyun has proved him wrong. “I did. I may not personally know you but I can tell that you wouldn’t be all that great at replying to my messages on social media.”

Summary
Jaehyun doesn’t fit in.
He doesn’t match. He’s a fluorescent discrepancy in the gold and glitter of Doyoung’s life. He doesn’t fit in. And the knowledge burns in his chest.
Maybe this is what drowning feels like.

Summary
“You know Jaehyun would never spy on us, right?” Ten asks, eyeing Doyoung out of the corner of his eye as they trudge up the stairs to their floor.
Doyoung chooses not to answer. It’s the principal of the matter, really. He can’t even really recall how the rivalry started, he just knows that it persists and he cannot let it die, even if Jaehyun, too nice for his own good, refuses to participate.
At the start of every year, Doyoung sets some ground rules for his group. Obviously he can’t tell people who they can and can’t be friends with, but no matter how close some of his members are with them, rule number one is no Acafellas in the practice room. Rule number two is, as long as you’re part of the group, you cannot date an Acafella. Personally, Doyoung can’t see why anyone would want to willingly pair themselves with someone who chose to join a group called the Acafellas, but to each his own.

Summary
“We’re on?” he asks holding out his free hand for Renjun to shake.
“Am I really making a deal with the devil right now?”
“I’m a distant relative, but yes,” he smiles in a devilish way, looking demonically cute too.
