Summary
Beth Greene thought surviving the apocalypse was complicated enough. Especially for someone like her, who doesn’t know how to fight, can’t protect herself, has to rely on others for everything, and is assigned to babysitting duty most of the time. Then she accidentally overhears the other women talking about Daryl Dixon in ways she can’t unhear, and things get even worse.
How can one stupid conversation change anything? It can’t, of course it can’t, but for some reason Beth just can’t stop thinking about it. She tries to ignore it, tries to focus on helping around the prison, but now Daryl Dixon seems to be at the center of everything, and Beth turns into a blushing mess every time he’s around.
From the first unbidden thought to awkward glances, confusing feelings, and quiet, devastating realizations, Beth is beginning to suspect that maybe surviving the apocalypse isn’t the only thing she’ll need a guide for.

After Jaskier and Geralt reunite, they set on a journey to find Ciri accompanied by Yennefer. They meet some dwarves, who Geralt is friends with and they spend a lovely evening together, but Jaskier doesn't enjoy himself as much as he could. He feels restless. He's paining after Geralt and matters only get worse when one of the dwarves asks him to play a song he wrote right after their fight on the mountain. The song makes him emotional. He's afraid Geralt will realize that Jaskier has been in love with him for years. Will the evening end up as awfully as Jaskier imagines or will Jaskier finally get everything he's ever wanted?
