Summary
Ilya is a very perceptive person. He saw the way Shane held himself. He heard the way Shane talked about his girlfriend. Most importantly, he saw the way that Shane had looked at /him/.
Shane was convincing himself he was straight. Ilya knew he was not.
Ilya hadn’t lied - he /was/ going to help Shane with his anxiety. It just so happened that a good part of Shane’s anxiety came from the fact that he was lying to himself and everyone else about a key part of himself.
So Ilya was going to be helping Shane accept that part of himself. No matter what it takes.
