Summary
The Red Hood surprises him by slowly pulling off the helmet. He wears a black domino underneath, curls of black hair falling into his face. Black hair… and a little white streak right in the front. Gnarly scars mar most of the right side of his face. Tim's mind churns. He looks familiar, but… but that's impossible, right.
"I slept on the streets," he continues, setting his helmet down on the shelf to his left, one hand laying over it almost protectively. "I lived in the alleyways of Gotham. Trying to survive. Until Bruce took me in."
No, Tim's mind rebels, even as realization sinks in. It's not possible… Before Tim can even think of something to say, Jason rips away the front of his shirt.
Revealing bright red. A bold yellow R over his right breast. "I trained as hard as I could. I did whatever he asked… At least at first. But it didn't matter. They said I wasn't tough enough to be Robin. But today they say you are."
All Tim can do is stare at this six foot wall of muscle standing across from him. The Robin uniform is clearly a cheap costume, the fabric thin and flimsy, the seams straining against the bulge of his muscles. Robin.

Summary
Tim’s hand grips tighter on the coffee, more determined to keep his hold on that than his phone or keys, and thank god, he doesn’t drop the drink. But the rest of it slips through his fingers, and the guy he just slammed into has some seriously great reflexes, because he manages to snatch them both out of the air before they can hit the ground.
“Oh, god, sorry—” Tim starts to say as the guy straightens up, and then he stops. A set of amused green eyes look down at him over a wide grin.
You’ve got to be kidding, Tim thinks.
“Got somewhere to be, sweetheart? Oh, now that’s a pretty shade of red you’re turning—”
“I’m late,” Tim snaps, snatching his keys and phone out of Jason’s hand. “I got lost four fucking times on my way here. If this city was a person, I would throttle it.”

Summary
Tim never stops taking pictures of Jason.
He really can't help himself, even when Jason wants to kill him. Actually, Tim thinks that Jason wanting him dead only exacerbates the whole issue, but no one asks about it (because no one knows), so he never tells (and he never will).
This, at least. Tim always thinks. Let me have this, if nothing else.
