It has everything to do with what happened, and coming to realize, as time goes by, that he has never loved someone the way he loves Gun, has never loved someone truly, if he’s honest. It has to do partly with him realizing he’s not straight and that he wants to be with only one person. But it can’t happen, so he’s an asshole.
Or, the one where Off comes out to Gun and funnily enough, he misheards him. Trouble ensues.
