“My new granddaughter!” Garp booms upon their arrival at Dawn Island, perhaps a week later, and if it weren’t for years of carefully practicing her stoic expressions, Robin's jaw would have dropped out of pure shock. “Gonna take her up the mountain this morning, but figured you wouldn’t mind sharing breakfast with us, Emi!”
“One does not simply share a meal with you, Garp,” the stern-faced woman in front of them states. “Besides which, it isn’t even six o’clock in the damn morning. I haven’t put the kettle on yet, let alone started making breakfast!” Her words only make the Vice Admiral laugh, though, and soon enough he and Robin are seated at the counter of a clean and rather pleasant looking bar.

Robin was supposed to be on break from it all. The man who is both her partner and boss granted her a sabbatical leave for four months to research Pluton and the other ancient weapons. Her first week took her to the east, chasing the stories of Grand Line emigrants into the most peaceful of their seas. Her second week found her walking back into the room at the women’s hostel she’d been renting to come face to face with Crocodile reading her notebook on her bed, tracking sand all over her floors.
The one where a demon, a pirate, and a pirate hunter infiltrate a marine corps ball. Oh, and a warlord is there too.

The most confusing part of ending up on the Flying Dutchman was the fact that, despite having traveled all over the world, Roger had no idea where could a Dutchman be from. The second most confusing part was that it seemed to be a regular non-flying ship, if in some state of disrepair, to put it mildly.
To put it bluntly, Roger was quite shocked to find it was still seaworthy.
The third and final confusing part of finding himself on the deck moments after his execution was the fact that everyone seemed to expect him to answer to the captain. Roger hadn’t had the opportunity to ask the man his name; He just tossed him overboard.
