He supposes it’s inevitable then, the way they fall into each other’s arms in the backseat of Jimin’s car so easily. Yet as a raging alcoholic, Jimin had also always thought impending death and doom were inevitable and neither one of those were upon him yet, so his judgement wasn’t exactly his most prized possession. But here in his run-down Toyota Corolla, hidden by shadows born from passing car headlights and fluorescent street lights, the world seems to collectively sigh in relief as their two souls finally intertwine as one. Taehyung kisses him with more passion Jimin’s felt in a long, long time. So judgement be damned.

You would think he’d be used to it by now; the thrill of hearing those words, the prospect of waiting for 1:02 to come around and carry him away. But it still felt just as freeing as it had that very first night. When Taehyung had found Jimin and relieved him of who he’d been before.
They were unbearable, impossible, more disastrous together than they were apart- but for them it all felt so simple, as though they were following a destiny. One could not be without the other, and they had never been above breaking some rules to keep it that way.
