Marco is not looking forward to Shanks' visit. Not in the slightest. He knows what will happen, he knows Shanks will belittle him and his love for his family by asking him to join the Red-Haired pirates again, and Marco would really. Rather. Not.
But maybe, just maybe, Shanks doesn't ask because of reasons like that. Perhaps there's something more to it. Something more basic. Carnal.

Summary
One thing the Roger Pirates knew indefinitely was that their Captain, Gol D. Roger, hated Edward Newgate. So, by default, they had to abide by one eternal rule; never interact with the Whitebeard Pirates.
And Shanks lived by that rule, until his mate came in the form of a boy that was one of Whitebeard's children. Safe to say, Shanks never really was someone that liked following rules.
And thus began a story of lies, secrecy, and two people trying to find their place in the world between who they're expected to be, and what their hearts really want.
(Or: I simply wanted to write a soulmate A/B/O fanfic with Romeo and Juliet vibes for my own inner peace and so here I am)
