In this universe women's paralympic sled hockey exists because it's actually bananas that they don't have women's teams in the paralympics. There are national women's teams but it's a small sport it appears, based on the research I did for the story, but wtf paralympic/sledge hockey committee or whoever is in charge of things like that???

Summary
Seven years ago, Ilya buried his father in Russia and said goodbye to his brother forever until one phone call changed everything.

Then fate intervened and his life started to crumble. Then one night he calls Ilya to tell him he is putting Tatiana on a plane to Canada.
Now Ilya & Shane have to figure out how to be parents, be hockey stars, and find out what has happened to Alexei. But time has never been on their side. Is Tati theirs forever?
