A single figure extracted itself from the darkness and stepped into the light.
“How kind of you to join us,” said a man in a black suit, someone Donnie only recognized from videos: Agent Bishop, head of the Earth Protection Force.
“You took our brother,” Donnie replied. “You didn’t think we were just gonna let that slide, did you?"
Though less common than the Knight’s Opening, the Bishop’s Opening is a solid first move that gives you an array of options if you’re a sharp player with a fondness for tricky games. With this opening, the player uses their first move to put their bishop in control of the center of the board.
Likewise, Agent Bishop and the Earth Protection Force have placed themselves front and center on New York City's stage, but when you keep making mistakes, the spotlight isn't always a good thing.
And kidnapping Hamato Leonardo was one massive mistake.

Summary
It's only been a little over a month since the invasion, and Cassandra Jones has a lot on her plate.
As if it weren't tricky enough to take up the city protection role while all of the turtles were out of commission, both due to their own injuries and their comatose sibling. Then she had to get captured by the Foot Clan while trying to gather information about their latest big scheme.
They even try to use her to accomplish it, by placing a powerful mask on her face. Only for the spirit inhabiting it to gleefully offer Cassandra a deal. If she helps get him and his friends to their alter to free their spirits, he'll do anything he can to help her along the way. The only downside is, he'd have to hitch a ride inside her brain.
Cassandra, not one to back down from a challenge, agrees anyway and attempts to get this all over with as fast as possible.
Unfortunately she ends up with a lot of people following in her trail, including someone she's certain is working for the enemy, and all the while she has to deal with this mildly annoying spirit cracking jokes in the back of her mind.

The Invasion of New York was no laughing matter, especially not for the Earth Protection Force. What was laughable, however, was the way the EPF handled the Invasion of New York. In other words, they didn’t, so the fact that it had been stopped meant someone else did. Something else. Several somethings, in fact.
This was unacceptable, and Agent John Bishop intended to fix that.
“Sir, Vehicle 254 just reported spotting one of the creatures traveling by rooftop along 5th Avenue.”
“Do they still have eyes on it?”
“No, they lost it by West 26th Street.”
“Alert all other vehicles. If any of them catch sight of the creature, they are to report back to base, and an assault team will be released to their location. Were they able to identify which of the creatures it was?”
“I believe they said it was the one in the blue gear, sir. The one with the swords.”

Leo waited. His leg was growing painfully numb under the ice. He wanted to rip the pack off and heave it across the room where it could shatter on the floor. Instead, he forced himself to stay quiet as he watched everyone disperse on their assignments, feeling his heartbeat inexplicably rise in his chest until he finally couldn’t stand it anymore.
“And me?” Leo looked to Splinter. “I know portaling is kinda off the table right now, but, you know, plans are still kinda my thing. Just give me a minute—an hour max—and I know I can come up with a place for us to stay...” Leo’s voice faded as Splinter placed a warm pink hand on top of his own, making it lay still.
“Do not worry, my baby blue.” He said, giving the back of his hand a pat, a soft smile reaching his furry face. “I know exactly where we will go.”

Leo knew losing an arm would be a hard change. He just didn’t know exactly how many changes he'd have to deal with. Turns out that narrowly avoiding the Krang apocalypse doesn't mean everything goes back to normal.
(Or my traumatized turtle boys spend some time recovering in the countryside because the author was listening to Noah Kahan’s Stick Season album A LOT)

Leo was content with his achievement. He managed to trap the Krang and keep everyone in his family safe. Even if that will cost him his life. Giving himself up to hopelessness, about to shut his eyes forever he makes a shocking discovery. He isn't alone?!
Just a fic about Leo and the "Techno Drone" trying to survive and essentially escape from the prison dimension. And I’m gonna get pretty detailed about how I’m imagining survival being there would look like.

The slider managed to open his eyes halfway to look down on his left hand to try and find out what it was stuck to, but the darkness all around combined with the concussion-induced blurry, doubled vision did little to help him understand anything he was looking at.
Then there was a voice.
Not the comforting voice of one of his concerned brothers, but rather a gruff, deep man's voice coming from the stranger tending to his laceration.
"Sorry 'bout the cuffs but I ain't never seen your kind before."

On the day of the invasion Leo's brothers try to save him from the prison dimension but a disruption caused by Krang Prime causes Mikey's portal to mystically explode, knocking Leo unconscious.
The next thing he knows he wakes up injured with a concussion in a dark room with a stranger tending to his wounds.
But he is soon to find out that this scruffy human does not have his best interests at heart.
If he can't escape on his own will his family come to the rescue, or do they even know where he is?
No matter what happens Leo knows that he always has a ninja's greatest weapon: Hope.
