Summary
“You think he knows?”
Eddie shrugs, only half-heartedly batting at Buck’s hand as he goes to dip his fries into Eddie’s milkshake. Buck just sticks his tongue out childishly before shoving the fries into his mouth and Eddie rolls his eyes. It does nothing to rid the adoration from his face, so Buck doesn’t take it too personally.
“I dunno, I think he might suspect something.”
Buck takes another fry, dangling it by his mouth for a moment. “Shame,” he says, taking a bite, “I was enjoying nobody knowing.”

Summary
When the 118 find out about Buck’s secret thirst account on Instagram – to raise fire safety awareness, obviously – they make fun of him the appropriate amount and move on. Eddie, who has had some recent and birthmark-shaped revelations about his feelings, finds it a little harder to do the same.
Of course, Eddie would never invade Buck’s privacy by searching for and finding the anonymous account. Or looking at all the uploaded photos late at night. Or even directly messaging Buck’s secret account. That would be weird, because he’s certainly not planning on doing anything about his newfound attraction.
However, anonymous account @elbombero118 has no such limitations.

Summary
“What do you want, Eddie?”
“Buck.”
“What do you want, Eddie? I’m going to keep asking until you just tell me.”
“I can’t! Don’t you get it? I can’t tell you, Buck.” Eddie was getting pissed. Why was Buck pushing so hard? Why couldn’t he just let things be? He rounded the island to make room for himself on the other side of the kitchen. Away from Buck. Away from the anger, hurt, and despair bubbling in his chest, threatening to spill over.
“Buck, please.” He wasn’t above begging. Not now, not for this.
“No, Eddie. You can. Just say it.” He sounded much closer than before and Eddie was even closer to losing it. “What do you want, Eddie?”
“Buck, please... Don’t make me say it.” The unshed tears that were resting on his waterline began falling and he couldn’t help the sob that escaped his chest.
“Eds. What. Do. You. Want?”
“You!” Eddie screamed.
OR The one where Buck corners Eddie for answers after Eddie starts acting weird and it leads down a road neither of them expected.

Summary
“His shirt’s on inside out,” Josh commented to Linda. Eddie opened the door to the breakroom and tried to let it close behind him, but that did not deter either of his colleagues. “Is this a walk of shame?”
“Well, I am walking,” Eddie confirmed, rounding the counter and beelining to the empty coffee pot. “And full of shame.”
“What happened?”
“I stood him up,” he answered, shortly.
After what was probably a very involved silent conversation between Linda and Josh, Josh said, “Eddie, if you aren’t ready, I’m sure he’d understand.”
“I am ready,” he said, detaching the water reservoir with more force than necessary. “I didn’t do it on purpose.”
