Hey Darling.” Curtis greeted Gus with a quick kiss on her cheek. “Waverly, do you mind if I look at your arm?”
Shrugging, Waverly moved to sit down while holding out her arm for Curtis to inspect. He ran his fingers over the fading prints and smiled. “Waverly Earp. You’ve found your soulmate.”
“What’s a soulmate?” Waverly narrowed her eyes as she looked at her uncle. “That sounds like a fairytale.”
“Well, it is kind of like a fairytale.” Curtis chuckled. “For some unknown reason, every person has a perfect mate. A person that completes them. A person that fills in all their vacant places. Does that make sense?”
Tilting her head, Waverly narrowed her eyes again. “What does that have to do with these fingerprints?”

Summary

This story follows Lexa's time in Polis, with lust, drama, laughter and love.EDIT: The focus of this story isn't a teacher/student relationship and although there is one (sort of, for a bit), it isn't much of a factor. This story is about a young woman who faces obstacles and learns to grow while the world protests - told through the eyes of someone that understands the worth of the girl she loves.

“Yes? Why?” Nicole answered hesitantly. Waverly grinned, an idea forming…no, a plan forming in her planner brain.
Yes, this could work, it would solve all of her problems. And she could get to know Nicole like she had planned to do. But she would owe the redhead a lot more than coffee if she agreed.
“I need you to…no, wait, I’ll do this right.” Waverly paused, dropping onto one knee and taking Nicole’s tense hand in her own. “Nicole Haught, will you fake date me so Champ and his band of idiots will finally leave me alone?”
Nicole looked completely blindsided and promptly began to choke, attractively, on her own saliva. And died. Probably.
