sasodei - modern days au
Sasori and Deidara were given one simple mission: keep an eye on the target. No battles, no explosions.Deidara scanned the lavish ballroom, his eyes narrowing in disdain. Rich bastards, every single one of them. The kind who'd pay millions for art they didn’t even understand.
“Quit scowling,” Sasori murmured, "You're supposed to blend in, not look like you're planning a massacre."
Deidara rolled his eyes, smoothing the front of his dress in a graceful pull that could’ve ripped the fabric between his fingertips. “Yeah, yeah, whatever. I still don't get why I had to wear this, hmph.”
“Because it makes you less suspicious.”
Deidara looked down, gaze flowing from his chest to his feet. -

“Did he say ‘love potion’?” Deidara whispered, his voice crackling with suppressed glee. “Like, the real thing?”
Sasori rolled his eyes, a subtle gesture only Deidara could notice. “He said Amortentia. And yes, the real thing. Try not to explode anything this time.”

Summary
Deidara rolled his eyes, his words coming out as a long, drawn-out sigh. ”You’re so dense.”
Sasori looked down at his partner, eyebrows furrowed. ”What?”
“Nothing, I was talking to myself.”
“Focus, brat.”
His eyes lingered a little too long on Sasori's face, taking in every feature with that usual, stupid smirk. "Oh, trust me, I'm very focused."This one-shot draws inspiration from Taylor Swift's song "Guilty as Sin?"

fem!sasodei - modern days au
“Messy means uncontrolled. I need to know where I stand.”
“Well, thank fuck. Tell me where I stand.”
Deidara didn’t let Sasori reply — she wouldn’t have known what to say, anyway. “You can’t control everything. You can’t control me.”
"We stand where we always have," Sasori said, pushing back any sign of reluctance. "Casual. No strings."
Deidara's heart sank. "Fine."Title, setting and context come from the song "Casual" by Chappell Roan
