Summary
Part 2
After spending her life in secrecy, Ainyam is thrust into the public center of a galactic war between the Separatists and the Republic. Her Jedi identity is torn as the Republic trusts the Order less and less as the war goes on, and her own position as Duchess wanes as power is shifted in the Senate. The war is not all bad, however, as Ainyam makes new friends and connections, and gets closer than she ever has to answers in the investigation of her mother's death. However, as Ainyam finds more help and support than ever before, her new friendships, alliances, and relationships are put at risk with every impossible decision she is forced to make.

Rose just scoffs silently and shakes her head. “Forget it, Shane. That’s Ilya Rozanov.” At Shane’s raised eyebrows and another, slightly stronger, shove with his elbow, Rose begrudgingly elaborates. “He’s the captain of the hockey team, pretty well-known on campus. And the one thing everyone knows is that the moment you want him, you've already lost.”
Shane frowns, leaning in a bit closer to his friend. “What does that even mean? Is he taken?” he questions, annoyed but still curious.
“Nah, he’s a weirdo,” Rose giggles, stifling the sounds behind her hand when a shush sounds from behind them. “Rozanov loves the chase. He’s got a thing for people who don’t want him, but the moment they show interest back and let him hit he gets bored and moves on. I swear he has some issues he needs to go to therapy for, ‘cause that’s just not normal.”

A rough emergency landing of the Ottawa Centaurs' plane in Tampa, Florida makes national headlines.
With Ilya's phone lost in the chaos, Shane has no way of finding out if Ilya is injured - or how injured. So he makes his way to Tampa.
Or: The plane crash/incident in the long game but a rougher landing, more injuries (no significant/long-lasting harm), and Shane running to Tampa to see Ilya.
Story and Chapter titles are lyrics of the song 'Sleepwalking' by All Time Low that gave me the inspiration for this fic!
First half of the story will be Angsty hurt/comfort, second half will be the comfort part of hurt/comfort with a dose of crack.
