“I have good eyes.” Gojo frowns as he catches his breath, glittery blues dimming into normalcy. “And I don’t recognize you.”
There’s layers to the statement.
The man spits out more blood, lets it draw angry red lines down his neck. “I’d be honored if you did, Six Eyes,” he returns with a sly grin, each vowel melting into the next. “A god like you playing fetch with a kitten like me. I’d gladly lay down one of my nine lives.”
When asked in secret by the higher ups to investigate a strange behavioral change in the pattern of the crows in all of Tokyo, Gojo hadn’t quite been expecting this.
