Caitlyn drew in a quiet, startled breath as she lifted her eyes to the familiar willow tree looming above her, it's surreal purple petals swaying in their branches. It struck her that she was in the Kiramman grounds, the very place they had buried her mother. The breeze shifted the branches, sending a slow cascade of purple-violet petals twirling weightless and soft in front of her eyes, catching the suns glow as they lingered mid-air, carried by soft unseen currents around her, while some settled quietly as the air hummed with a quiet radiance.

Summary
Caitlyn’s gaze flickers to her, caught mid hum as she slides the tie off her hair. It’s still a bit of a surprise how vivid her eyes are, after so many months. She steps closer, and they’re eye to eye, almost. There’s a bit of a smile at the corner of her mouth, and in a second of self-indulgence Vi’s hand comes up to touch it of its own volition.
Or, with battle on the horizon, Vi and Cait spend the night together.
