Post-Canon AU: After months of silence, James Moriarty confesses his hate and obsession to Sherlock Holmes, admitting he abandoned his criminal plans out of fear of losing him. Though Sherlock doesn't fully trust him, he chooses to let James stay and earn his forgiveness. They open a small detective agency and take on their first case: helping a young prostitute named Justin Austin bring down Sebastian Cranfield, a wealthy murderer and rapist. As they plan a dangerous undercover operation, unresolved tension and mistrust between Sherlock and James resurface, forcing them to confront their complicated relationship.
