"Does get awful lonely. You're so kind to take care of these things for little ole me." He rubs over his bump, and with a soft laugh, "Or, for us, I suppose."
"But of course! One baby on your hip, another on the way. How could I not extend myself to you?"
"Well, if you wouldn't mind with another thing," Louis croons as he cups a hand under one swollen breast. "Sink's not the only thing leakin' right now."
Lestat nearly thwacks in his head as he retracts under the counter to take a look for himself, mouthwatering. "I can assist with that."

Summary
Once the delivery men have left, Louis is left staring at the new coffin sitting next to Lestat's which is decidedly not the elegant black coffin he picked out at the funeral home they patronized for the purpose.
It's the coffin in the shape of a fancy automobile that Louis was eyeing but ultimately decided was no fit for a grown man.
Lestat buys Louis' dream coffin. Louis is grateful.

Summary
So Louis agreed to be Lestat's photographer, but only to prove a point. He could hardly say no now, as that would’ve given Lestat more fodder to rile him up with. Louis knew it was probably what he wanted, but maybe, just maybe, Louis too had been waiting far too long to get something other than indifference from Lestat. Lestat wanted him there. Now, their long-awaited game of chess had finally begun.
Or: Lestat asks Louis to be his photographer, but only to get him to a show and make him jealous.
