Summary
On a long list of terrible ideas, Imogen reflected, this particular choice on her part really took the top spot.
Her therapy session that week had gone well. Really well, actually. So well that when her therapist had suggested Imogen "take a small step out of her comfort zone", Imogen had seized her rare confidence and decided she’d visit a coffee shop.

Summary
The first few trinkets that appeared weren’t too bad. It started with a little knitted robin. She found it peering at her from the open kitchen window the morning after she arrived. The soft red breast and felted black beak looked almost real, and it wasn’t until she reached out with her mind and snatched it in an incorporeal hand that she realized the thing was stuffed. She floated it over while she ate her breakfast and set it on the table, unsure if it had been there the day before.
A ghost is haunting Imogen's house.

Laudna has had thirty-odd years to grapple with her own death and the intricacies that came with it—constantly falling apart, bones jutting out at queer angles, the persistent chill—but now she is alive, suddenly and unequivocally alive. Her bones now encased in softer, pinkened flesh, her fingers remaining attached no matter the sudden movement, and—hells, she’s warm.
It’s odd and frightening how warm she feels after decades of cold.

Diverges after the Otohan battle. Laudna is resurrected as a human and has to grapple with what that means as well as her newly revived body's reactions to Imogen.

She pushes her glasses back up her nose, eyes never moving from the spot on Rumi’s shoulder. Hm. They are, in fact, still there.
“Zoey,” Mira calls, keeping her voice low, not wanting to alert Rumi, because, quite frankly, she needs to talk to anyone else who isn't the source of the problem right now.
Zoey, thankfully, picks up on the tone in her voice, easily making her way over from across the compound, giving Mira a look. Mira just gestures for Zoey to get closer to her, and once Zoey is shoulder-to-shoulder with her, Mira gestures over toward Rumi.
There’s a pause.
“Huh,” Zoey decides, frowning. “That’s...” she trails off, waving a hand as she tilts her head to the side. “Different.”
“Something like that,” Mira agrees, crossing her arms over her chest. “Rumi has patterns.”
Zoey makes a noise. “Yeah. I guess so, huh?”
